Thomas has been teaching high-school Science and Math in BC for the past 7 years in both face-to-face, and online environments. He currently teaches secondary sciences and math at Navigate-NIDES. Thomas has presented regionally and provincially in the areas of blended teaching and learning and holds a Bachelors of Science, Bachelors of Education, Graduate Diploma in Online Learning and Teaching, and a Masters of Education in Educational Leadership. He is a teaching faculty member of Vancouver Island Universities graduate program (Online Learning and Teaching) as well as an instructor with Queen's Universities Continuing Teacher Education Program. Thomas immensely enjoy the outdoors with his family and friends, and is always finding new ways to get students to appreciate the scientific world around them through experiential, place-based learning opportunities. He’s passionate about professional development and likes to spark the 'life-long-learner' in the people around him.
